Belarus: Industrial production shoots up in November
December 16, 2016
Belarus - Industrial production in November expanded 5.1% over the same month last year, up from October’s 0.3% figure and marking the fastest growth in two years. According to the National Statistical Committee (BELSTAT), the expansion was driven by strong growth in the manufacturing sector and the electricity, gas, steam, hot water and conditioning supply sector, while the mining and quarrying sector was constant year on year.
Annual average growth in industrial production jumped from minus 1.9% in October to minus 0.9% in November, the best figure since May 2015.
