Belarus: Industrial production rebounds in October
November 16, 2016
In October, industrial production expanded 0.3% over the same month last year, which was a five-month high and contrasted September’s 0.9% decline. According to the National Statistical Committee (BELSTAT), the improvement came from a rebound in energy production as well as softer declines in mining and quarrying and in water supply.
The overall trend improved in October, as annual average growth in industrial production jumped up from minus 2.5% in September to minus 1.9%, the best figure observed since July 2015.
