Industrial production in May jumped 8.4% over the same month last year, however the reading comes in below April’s 8.7%.
According to Belarus’ National Statistical Committee (BELSTAT), the expansion was driven primarily by strong growth in the manufacture of machinery and equipment sector, while the category of other manufacturing (which includes repair and installation of machinery and equipment) recorded the biggest contraction.
