Austria: Industrial output growth speeds up in September

Industrial production rose 2.0% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in September (August: +0.6% mom). Looking at the details of the release, durable consumer goods output slowed in September, while capital goods output gathered steam.
On an annual basis, output decreased 1.4% in September (August: -2.6%), which marked the best result since January. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 5.7% in September, down from August's minus 5.5% reading.
