September 28, 2017
The consumer confidence index produced by Fessel-GfK was steady at 5 points in September. It remains well above the 0-point threshold indicating greater optimism than pessimism among consumers.
In September, consumers were more upbeat about the current economic situation and continued to assess the economic outlook for the next 12 months favorably. They were also more optimistic about the labor market in the months ahead. On the other hand, they were more pessimistic about prices.
