Australia: Unemployment drops in November

In November, the economy added 54,600 jobs in seasonally-adjusted terms, up from the 36,900 jobs created in October (previously reported: +29,700 jobs). The rise in overall employment reflected an increase in full-time employment (+55,000), while part-time employment remained broadly unchanged (-430). The number of total job seekers rose fell by 19,500 workers, marking the strongest decrease since June this year. As a consequence, the unemployment rate dropped from October's 5.4% to 5.2% in November.
