Argentina: Industrial production increases in June
July 27, 2015
In June, industrial production increased 1.0% over the same month last year. The reading was above the 0.9% contraction seen in the previous month and marked a 13-month high. June’s result was mainly driven by a strong performance of the automotive industry.
On a monthly basis, industrial production in June expanded 1.3% in seasonally-adjusted terms, which followed the 0.2% increase seen in May. Annual average variation in industrial production contracted from May’s minus 1.7% to minus 1.6%, thus marking the highest level since April 2014.
