Angola: Soaring inflation reaches over-four-year high in November

In November, consumer prices rose 1.32% over the previous month, which was slightly below the 1.35% increase recorded in October.

Inflation increased from 12.4% in October to 13.3% in November, which marked the highest level since August 2011. In addition, annual average inflation increased from 9.2% in October to 9.7% in November, a reading last seen in March 2013.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panel participants expect inflation of 13.0% in 2016, which is up 0.8 percentage points from last month’s projection. For 2017, the panel sees inflation registering 11.1%.
