Angola: Inflation edges down in March
According to the Statistical Institute (Instituto Nacional de Estadística), consumer prices in the province of Luanda rose 1.2% in March from the previous month, up slightly from February’s 1.0% increase. All 12 components of the index posted month-on-month price increases, identical to the previous month.
Inflation in the province of Luanda edged down from 17.8% in February to 17.6% in March. In turn, annual average inflation moderated from 19.3% in February to 18.9% in March, the lowest print in nearly three years.
