Account Executive

Based in Barcelona, Spain, FocusEconomics is a leading provider of economic intelligence via reports, data solutions and a business intelligence platform. Our clients are senior executives in multinational companies and governmental organizations.

In our process of consolidation and expansion, we are seeking highly motivated, results-driven, and experienced business-to-business sales executives. If you are passionate about engaging customers with a valuable economic intelligence solution and enjoy interacting with senior decision makers at leading global companies and governmental organizations, we’d like to hear from you. Candidates with outstanding communication skills, experience in selling solutions to Fortune 500 companies, and knowledge of global economic developments have a big plus.


  • Foster strong client relationships
  • Create and execute strategies to achieve business objectives for old, new and existing clients
  • Quickly build a strong pipeline of relationships with C-level managers
  • Manage full sales cycles from quoting to negotiating, to closing, including writing outstanding business proposals
  • Generate and qualify new leads through research, networking and social selling
  • Identify business drivers to associate optimal solutions for each specific customer
  • Successfully qualify leads, and convert prospects into clients and upgrade them
  • Keep customers and prospects engaged via frequent and timely follow-up communication
  • Forecast and monitor success via key performance indicators


  • Previous experience in B2B sales (SaaS is advantageous)
  • Preferred knowledge of Salesforce LinkedIn and campaign platforms
  • Proven track record of successful quota-carrying sales
  • Excellent written and spoken English; other languages are a plus
  • Degree in Business/Economics studies or related
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executives and C-level managers
  • Ambitious, client-focused, self-motivated and self-managed personality
