In September, consumer prices rose 0.1% over the previous month. The print contrasted the 0.3% drop seen in August and represented, in fact, the first monthly increase seen in the last six months. The increase reflected higher prices in a majority of the categories, particularly in education. Despite the monthly rise, annual inflation stood at 0.0% for the second consecutive month in September.
