In June, industrial production expanded 5.4% over the same month last year, which was below the 6.0% increase recorded in May. The deceleration reflected a deterioration in mining and quarrying as well as in electricity, gas and air conditioning supply. In contrast, manufacturing production gained momentum compared to the previous month. On a monthly basis, industrial output increased a seasonally adjusted 1.0% in June, which was below the 1.8% expansion observed in May. As a result of the deceleration, the trend point downwards, with annual average growth in industrial production falling from 7.4% in May to 6.8% in June
