Outlook improves a notch

The outlook for this year has improved as a result of the boost provided by large-scale infrastructure projects related to the Panama Canal expansion and a return to positive growth in the country's major trading partners. That said, the country will experience a moderate recovery compared to that of other Central American countries. Meanwhile, inflation remains subdued but is expected to pick up this year, as a result of the weak dollar and rising commodity prices.
