Country to experience small recovery

The outlook remains weak and panellists expect the country to experience only a small recovery this year after likely having contracted for the first time in more than a decade in 2009. In the same vein, the economy is still feeling the effects of the severe drought that affected the country in the last part of 2009, specially affecting corn production. Amid the decline in economic activity, inflation closed the year in negative territory for the first time in decades, although it is expected to return to healthier levels this year.
