Economy to experience strong growth in 2010
Revised data from the third quarter confirm the acceleration of the economy, which is now set on a firm path to recovery. Accordingly, panellists anticipate the country will experience strong growth this and next year. Meanwhile, benefiting from the good performance of the economy and renewed credibility, the country is planning to re-enter international capital markets this year by selling US$ 600 million in bonds, which will be used to finance fiscal stimulus measures as well as to comply with the country's obligations with the International Monetary Fund.Dominican Republic:
