In its October quarterly review, the troika praised Ireland’s progress in the implementation of its EUR 85 billion bailout terms. Officials recognised the successful completion of banking sector reforms, as well as resilient economic growth in the first half of 2011. That said, economic performance continues to be restrained by high unemployment, which reached 14.3% in September.
