FINLAND
Snapshot
The export-driven recovery observed last year is moderating, giving way to more balanced growth, as stronger domestic demand is offsetting slower exports. In the first quarter, GDP expanded 0.8% over the previous quarter which, despite coming in below the extraordinary 1.8% tallied in the fourth quarter, still suggests a meaningful recovery. In addition, recent indicators point to sustained growth in the quarters ahead.
