Industrial production decelerated from a 5.4% year-on-year increase in November to a 2.0% expansion in December. In the full year 2011, industrial production grew 6.9%, which is well below the 10.3% expansion recorded in 2010. On a positive note, economic sentiment improved slightly in January after falling to its lowest level in two years in December.
