Vietnam: Inflation comes in at highest level since March 2020 in September
Inflation came in at 3.9% in September, up from August’s 2.9%. September’s figure was the highest inflation rate since March 2020. Looking at the details of the release, education prices rose at a quicker pace in September compared to the previous month, while price pressures for transportation eased.
In addition, annual average inflation rose to 2.5% in September (August: 2.4%).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.40% in September over the previous month, following the flat result logged in August.
