In October, consumer prices remained unchanged over the previous month, which was below the 0.1% rise observed in September. The monthly print mainly reflected how a fall in food and non-alcoholic beverages was offset by higher costs for alcoholic beverages and tobacco. As a result of the monthly print, annual inflation stood at 0.0% for the third consecutive month in October. The Central Bank anticipates that inflation will not exceed 5.0% this year.
