Lithuania: Industrial output remains robust in January
Industrial output increased 24.6% compared to the same month a year earlier in January, which followed December’s 26.5% increase which marked the strongest rise since April 2021. Looking at the details of the release, January´s slight slowdown was mainly due to more moderate growth in manufacturing output and energy production.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell 0.7% in January, sharply contracting December´s: +6.2% figure. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 20.7% in January (December: +19.4%). This signals an improving trend in the industrial sector.
