In July, consumer prices rose 0.70% over the previous month, which was above the 0.62% increase tallied in June. The reading mainly reflected higher prices for food as well as beverages and tobacco products. As a result of the monthly price increase, annual inflation inched up from June's 4.5% to 4.6% in July, which was in line with market expectations.
