Exports slow to lowest pace since 2009

Exports rose 4.0% in annual terms to USD 4.9 billion in April, which was well down from the 16.1% expansion recorded in the previous month. The figure, which marked the slowest growth rate since October 2009, put an end to 19 consecutive months of double-digit growth in exports. The monthly figure was mainly driven by shipments of fuels and mining products. Meanwhile, imports expanded 5.5% in March
