In April, consumer prices rose 0.2% over the previous month, which is below the 0.3% increase in March. The monthly reading reflected higher prices for clothing and footwear as well as for transport. Despite the monthly rise, annual inflation remained unchanged at March's 1.7%, which was in line with market expectations, and marked the lowest level since June 2010. In addition, annual average inflation moderated from 3.4% in March to 3.2% in April.
