Angola: Inflation declines to lowest level since December 2015 in December
Inflation came in at 13.9% in December, which was down from Novembers 15.2%. December’s result represented the lowest inflation rate since December 2015. Inflation continued declining due to lower food inflation on the back of a strong harvest, and fuel subsidies.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down as annual average inflation dropped to 21.4% in December from 22.5% in November.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.87% over the previous month in December, accelerating from the 0.82% increase seen in November. December’s uptick was the highest reading since May.
