Angola: 2015 closes with highest inflation rate in over four years

In December, consumer prices rose 1.60% over the previous month, which was slightly above the 1.32% increase recorded in November.

Inflation increased from 13.3% in November to 14.3% in December, which marked the highest level since June 2011. In addition, annual average inflation increased from 9.7% in November to 10.3% in December, a reading not seen since November 2012.

FocusEconomics Consensus Forecast panel participants expect inflation of 13.0% in 2016, which is up 0.8 percentage points from last month’s projection. For 2017, the panel foresees inflation of 11.1%.
